Well, as some of you know, I've been dead for the past little while. But I'm back! From Europe! Oh my goodness it was awesome. So I was told to keep a log of what happened, and I did. Sorta. Kind of vague, but it's a log nonetheless. In parts anyway.
And its long. So just not to spam your friends' page, it'll be under a cut.
March 7th: The lot of us met at the airport at 11 AM. Nice waste of a school day. Anyway, flight on Air Canada to Chicago was okay. We waitede around in O'Hare for about 5 hours. (The train between the terminals was the coolest part of the trip XD. Cuz I'm weird that way.) Managed (but barely) to eat a deep-dish pizza from Uno's, plus started munching on my pack on mini-Oreos Mom bought. So after the humungo line at security, we were on BA to London. My seat was all the way at the back of the place. But first-class...wow. It was amazing (I mean, you could lie down completely there!) But, point being, it was far from where we sat. Anyway, somehow after managing to partially eat dinner, I took some good advice from our teacher-leader person and tried to get some sleep.
March 8th: Sleeping was well... cramped. I basically woke up every hour (on the hour) from 12 until 3 in the morning (T.O. time). At that point, the Sun was up. So basically we couldn't go back to sleep. We landed in Heathrow at about 4:30 (still T.O. time). That airport was more of a shopping mall than an airport. Most of it was either the duty-free shop or Harodd's. In any case, it wasn't something any of us could afford. Not even a sandwich at a cafe. Stupid £3... Anyway, many hours at London later, we got called to board. Only, our plane didn't have a parking spot at the gate. So we had to walk on the runway-ish thing (I have no idea what it's called) and onto the plane from there. Now I can say I've stepped on English soil. The plane ride from London to Paris was rather short for me. Slept basically from just after takeoff to just before landing. Anyway.
After 23 hours in airports, we were finally in Paris. We met our tour guide, Pablo, and we waited a little while for him to get us our coach bus. In the mean time, a group of Japanese students (who were also on the London-Paris flight) passed by, getting on their bus next to ours. I think my next trip should be to Japan. I surprisingly understood a lot of what they were saying. Anyway, after we got on the bus, we went into the city. It was pretty cool. Driving is hilarious. People don't quite know what lanes are.
A little while later we got to the hotel. It was an okay place, a little small. But European hotels aren't exactly Hilton Suites, if you get what I mean. After freshening up, we took the Metro to our dinner restaurant. The food wasn't spectacular, but interesting nonetheless. On the way back to the hotel, we all stopped at a grocery store, since we had a kitchenette in the room. We bought a couple fruits, some water, and some snacks.
Not much to say after that. We all kind of crashed when we got back to our rooms.
Yeah, I'm tired right now. Shall post the rest later, and add some pictures too.
